logic3_i-station_traveller.jpgMy uncle took one look at these MP3 speakers from Logic3 and thought they'd be the kind of thing suitable for an 11-year-old, so he asked me to take a look at it. This Logic3 IP102K I-Station Traveller is a portable speaker system that can be used for all types of MP3 players including iPod's and PSP's.

The gadget is really lightweight and compact so it is easy to take around with you if you want to use it outside or at home.

The design of this unit looks really cool and the sliding speaker feature works really well. The unit we tested is a black and silver colour combination but it's also available in six other vibrant colours. The way this unit works, is that you slide the speakers out and then you twist the centre piece anti-clockwise which creates the base that supports your MP3 player.

You can mount your MP3 player to the base and then connect the headphone jack plug that is located on the left speaker into your MP3 player. On the right speaker there is an on/off switch and a mains power connection which allows you to use it without the batteries (there is no mains connecter included with the unit). However the battery life appears to be good.

Another feature I like, is when the unit is turned on, a blue light appears on the right speaker. It looks pretty cool and it helps me remember to turn it off when I am not using it.

The sound quality from the I-Station Traveller is really good for a small portable speaker system of this cost of £19.99. It is something I would consider buying for myself or my friends. Also it comes with a little pouch and 3.5mm to 2.5mm stereo converter for mobile phones.
