bt_vision.jpgTelecoms giant BT has signed a deal with HBO and Universal Music which will see music videos and TV programmes available through its hybrid Freeview Video-on-Demand BT Vision service.

The music company will be making available music videos through the service for 29p a pop. Premium concerts will be priced at £2.99 a go. HBO will be making programmes, such as its wildly successful Sopranos and Band of Brothers. Individula episode will set punters back between 79p and £1.50.

BT Vision chief executive Dan Marks said the company was "delighted to announce this agreement and our new partnership with Universal Music UK."

"We believe that the combination of BT Vision and the world’s leading music company will deliver a better service to music fans than they have ever experienced. We look forward to bringing Universal Music’s roster - which includes many of the biggest artists in the world and spanning many genres - to our customers," he told Digital Spy website.

Of course the HBO deal isn't limited to BT. Virgin Media and Tiscali TV are also getting in on the act. As reported by Absolute Gadget, Tiscali is launching its IPTV service on 1 March .
