High Definition televisions might be all the rage at the moment but surely as projectors like the IN78 come to the fore it won't be too long before more people take them into consideration. Setting up proved no problems whatsoever. This was merely a case of plugging any component cables into the projector. There is no need to spend ages fine-tuning the picture either as the IN78 automatically adjusts the picture, giving you more time to marvel at its quality. The sleek black look of the unit is no minger itself. We hooked the IN78 to a PlayStation 3 and in no time at all we were tearing up the muddy racing tracks in Motorstorm in high-def. Images look crystal clear with no problems distinguishing the darker colours. Even when we tested the Matrix Revolution DVD the evil Mr. Anderson's and their dark uniforms and sunglasses showed up beautifully in the fight scenes with Keanu Reeves 'Neo'. The common perception of projectors is that one would need a room the size of Buckingham Palace to get the best out of them. Wrong. Even at half a metre away from a wall or screen the IN78 will easily project a 32 inch or more sized image, this would even work in a loo should you be the extravagant type. There are inputs for HDMI, M1-DA, DVI, S-video, component, composite video and cables for your computer cables allowing you to connect it to any source of your choosing. The IN78 is a must-have for anyone wanting a high-performing projector that is easy to set up and use; while it may not be cheap it is less expensive than some of the other high-end projectors available costing around eight grand. For six thousand less the IN78 does the same job, in style. The InFocus IN78 is available for £1,995 from Stone Audio. Rating: 10/10 |
