Page 1 of 3 No, we haven’t gone all retro and dug out our Commodore 64 and Amiga. From today gamers can get their hands on a very different Commodore computer – one which doesn’t require them to spend five minutes loading the code up from a tape machine or fiddling with multiple floppy discs.
Commodore Gaming, which was launched in 2005 to try and revitalise the brand, has opened the virtual doors of its online store and has two high spec Windows PCs for gamers to get to grips with. Best of all, they come with cracking artwork to really make them stand out from the usual boring PCs. The asking price includes the buyers’ choice from over 100 unique 'C-kin' case artwork designs. Artwork cases are individually finished with a scratch proof surface usually reserved for the automotive industry and all Commodore Gaming PCs come with a full two year service and parts warranty. So far the online shop is only open to customers in UK and Ireland, so if you’re from another part of the world there’s an equivalent of a virtual bouncer telling you “you can’t come in, your names not on the door.” The online store will fully launch across Europe in mid May, alongside retail outlets in UK, Germany, France and the Benelux. Further European retailers will be added later.
