Page 1 of 2 Computer mice get their name – pretty obviously – because they look like mice. But two US designers have decided that their shape and tail-like lead wasn't close enough. Biologist Christa Canida and environmental studies graduate Noah Weinstein bought a frozen mouse from a pet shop and used its skin to cover a computer mouse.
If you're not that squeamish and fancy creating your own Mouse Mouse – as it is dubbed – check out their instructions online at the Instructibles website. Better yet, the Mouse Mouse would make the perfect accessory for a computer that looks like a 'dam' fine machine.
In an unrelated project, artist Kasey McMahon has turned a stuffed beaver into a PC. McMahon hollowed out the foam from the beaver's insides using a kitchen knife and added computer components. The machine is no slouch, either, containing an Intel Core2 Duo processor, 160G laptop hard drive, 1GB RAM, a Panasonic 8X slim DVD burner and an 80mm Tornado cooling fan.
