Summer is coming and the kids will soon be out of school looking for something to do. If you’re a Mac owner, why not give them a bit of educational fun by enrolling them in Apple’s Summer Camp programme?
There’ll be four different Summer Camp courses available for kids aged eight to 12, depending on whether they want to learn to create a podcast, build a web page, direct a movie or compose a song. At the end of the day everyone who takes part will get a CD or DVD containing their work. Not that you can just drop the ankle-biters off while you swan off for some kid-free activities of your own. Every child will need a completed form giving them permission to take part in the Summer Camp and a legal guardian with them. The two-and-a-half hour free workshops are running in all Apple’s UK stores from 30 July to August 9 and each child can sign up for two courses. Children who want to take part must sign up online as space is limited at each store. "Apple Summer Camp provides an opportunity for kids and families to participate in fun and engaging activities," said Apple, sounding distinctly like a holiday brochure. "Each Summer Camp workshop consists of two-and-a-half hours of hands-on learning, doing cool stuff on Macs." |
