blackberry_8310.jpgWe like the BlackBerry, we like it a lot! So the news of one of these fine devices coming with GPS has got us frothing at the mouth like Pavlov's dog! Vodafone gets an exclusive deal to sell the Curve 8310 a month or two before anyone else from 3 September.

The sat-nav part of the device is powered by technology from Telmap and will help customers avoid getting stuck in traffic jams (according to the company) as it provides live traffic alerts. Of course like most phones, it can email, surf the internet, take photos, listen to music and watch videos. The device can also make and even take a phone call as well - woot!

"With the addition of Vodafone Sat Nav to the popular BlackBerry Curve, we're offering all our customers a feature packed device at a great price, helping them make the most of their working day, wherever they are," comments Kyle Whitehill, Director of the Enterprise Business Unit, Vodafone UK.

"Vodafone's customers in the UK will benefit greatly from the many features of this new smartphone, including email, multimedia, GPS and more," said Charmaine Eggberry, Vice President and Managing Director, EMEA at RIM. "The BlackBerry Curve 8310 is an ideal tool for users who want to stay connected while juggling their busy work and personal lives.

Not only that get yourself one of these all-round multimedia phones and Vodafone will put you in a prize draw to have a trip around a motor car circuit with F1 wonderkid Lewis Hamilton in a Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren. If you win the draw you'll also get a tour the McLaren Technology Centre and be given their own race suit and helmet. (And possibly even meet the editor's brother-in-law

The sat-nav is free for 12 months to Vodafone customers and more details can be found here.
