ViewSonicVX2835wmMost consumer technology gets smaller as it goes on. But with TVs and monitors, you want the size to go up and up - and ViewSonic is happy to oblige. Its latest LCD monitor - the 28-inch VX2835wm - offers 1920x1200 resolution (that’s 1080p Full HD to you and me). However, it displays more than 2.3 million pixels – which ViewSonic suits claim is “around 10 per cent higher than the typical native resolution that Full HD displays achieve today.”

It also comes with a compact footprint to fit it snugly into rooms where space is at a premium.

“This fully-featured, multimedia HD display is the ‘no compromise’ choice for those with limited available space, or for those looking to elevate their PC and entertainment experience to a new level,” a pin-sharp press release said today.

The VX2835wm’s stylish glossy, black frame combines with a silver-accented stand to make a statement.

ViewSonic’s boffins also promise a 3ms video response time thanks to the latest ClearPicture technology, which offers “blur-free, ghost-free, full-motion video, and makes the VX2835wm one of the fastest LCDs in its class.”

The VX2835wm comes with a two years parts & labour Return-to-Base-Service policy and will be available for an RRP of £699 in September.
