hannsgha216dp.jpgIf you are looking for a widescreen telly for the bedroom or study, it is not an easy task. Most of them are fairly steep in price and those that aren't look pug-ugly. Which doesn't appear to be the case with the latest monitor from Hannsg.

Its new 22" Widescreen, HD ready monitor (AKA HG216DP)  retails at only £179.00 and is one of the lowest priced 22" screens currently available on the market (so says the manufacturer). Not only that, its styling would definitely not frighten off the animals.

The HD ready HG216DP manages to cram in enough high-tech goodies to shame rival vendors with an HDMI input as standard and its 1680x1050 HD resolution ensures high quality images whether you are watching the footie on Sky Sports HD  or playing on your PS3. Hannsg also talk up its potential for working with large spreadsheets as well as its big enough to deal with them.

The HG216DP also has an impressive 5ms response time as well as a typical 1000:1 contrast ratio and 300cd/m² brightness. The HG216DP also offers a super wide viewing angle of 160º ensuring it is visible from almost any direction and can be wall mounted using the VESA standard 100mm mounting plate.

The new HG216DP is available from www.misco.co.uk and its even included a 3 year on-site swap out manufacturers' warranty as standard. It could be the perfect Christmas gift!
