Next up is the sd100 Notebook Expansion Dock, which uses one USB plug to connect multiple peripherals to the laptop, so that the user can connect their printer, keyboard, Ethernet network and even 2.1 speakers without using additional USB ports, speeding up the laptop’s conversion to desktop status.

The ‘hot plug’ feature means the laptop doesn’t need to be restarted to add more peripherals.

An always-on feature for the USB ports mean items such as iPods or smartphones can be charged overnight even when the notebook is turned off or disconnected.
