Page 1 of 2 There was a bit of excitement about finally getting our hands on the stylish black Prada phone from LG, especially as it has just won the Mobile Choice Fashion Phone of the Year award, the second year LG has scooped this coveted prize. All the signs were looking good...
Sadly, we were not impressed. While the candy bar handset looks very sleek – the front being one unbroken panel with the Prada logo across the top – the phone itself is difficult to use and we ended up being wholly frustrated. The main problem stems from the touch screen itself, which is not very accurate. This made texting a nightmare, and general navigation was also made more difficult by the interface. Compared to the screen on the HTC Touch, it’s a nightmare. At least the looks and specs of the phone (see full list on the next page) deliver everything we have come to expect from LG. But, on this occasion, the lack of functionality meant we were not wowed. The LG Chocolate phone won in the fashion stakes last year and was an impressive all-round device.
Unfortunately, in the case of the LG Prada phone lightening doesn’t strike twice, and while clearly a resounding success with label-conscious phone lovers, we’ll take the LG Pink Shine over it any day! ![]() LG's Prada phone: a classic case of all style and no substance |
