The speakers are also claimed to be a major imporvement on its predecessor, the 307. Each speaker has a highly engineered single driver design - no crossover -  which Eclipse said effectively eliminates cabinet effects for superb clarity. The driver is decoupled from the enclosure, mounted on an internal stand to avoid transmission of energy to the cabinet. A heavy anchor weight at the back of the driver further improves transient response, and a rear exhaust port dissipates energy. A new stand improves the energy earth path and allows 360 degree mounting for desk, wall and ceiling use.
