The new Steam Direct Drive washing machines come in silver, black, cherry red, pink and light blue, and yes you can still buy one in white. Not only that, they are economical too (or green if you don't want to be seen as a bit tight). The Steam Direct Drive use steam (natch!) to clean garments. Its Dual Spray system sprays hot steam and water onto fabrics improving washing performance and eliminating allergens. It is rated A++ for energy efficiency meaning that it uses 35 per cent less water and 21 per cent less energy than traditional A rated machines. ![]() ![]()
The range boasts special features and functionalities which help consumers save time. A 20 minute Refresh programme uses steam to reduce odours and creases, lessening the need for ironing. With both 7kg and 8kg drum capacities, the washing machine is proven to wash up to 60 per cent more in one wash and can handle the biggest of family washes in fewer loads. What's more, it's almost completely silent. The Direct Drive technology means that there is no belt to power the drum which minimises the level of noise and vibrations, so the washing can be put on at night.
