You know you want one. You keep telling yourself that an Alienware PC will improve your gaming, a bit like girls tell themselves that perfect pair of shoes will change their lives [and they do :P – AG's Hillary]. Now getting your hands on one is a little bit easier, if you live in the US, that is...
Yes, top-end PC and laptop maker Alienware has set up an exchange website that allows users to trade in their electronic kit for payment or credit towards a new gaming computer. The company, which was bought by Dell in March 2006, will take your unwanted PCs, Apple Macs, notebooks, mobile phones, iPods, digital cameras and games consoles. "With AlienExchange, you can turn all those old electronic devices you have lying around as paperweights into your dream Alienware system," the exchange website says. "Just trade in any number of the select electronic devices, and you will receive payment that can be used toward the purchase of new Alienware products." Postage is even free if you print out a shipping label and slap it on your goods. If you happen to be upgrading an old Alienware bit of kit, even better! The company will give you an extra $200 extra on top of the trade-in quote towards your newer model. |
