Page 2 of 2 Gimmicks aside, the cameras have a Carl Zeiss 3x optical
zoom lens, 8.1 effective megapixel resolution and high-speed BIONZ image
processing engine to make your attempts at shooting pictures a bit more David
Bailey and a bit less David Brent. It also sports Double Anti-Blur technology
to deliver crisper results in low light and Face Detection to get better
pictures of your mates and family. Smile Shutter fires the shutter only when
the subject is smiling for more pictures of ‘happy faces' - (presumably this
doesn't work on Morrissey).
Images can be viewed its 2.7-inch touchscreen LCD. And can be connected to an HD Ready telly showing you're a slideshow with musical accompaniment. The Cyber-shot T2 has 4GB of internal flash memory, enough to store around 1,250 top-quality images. At VGA resolution there's capacity for over 40,000 images. Shots are automatically indexed and arranged in albums. The cameras go on sale this November. More info here.
