wii_hand.jpg Many people think that Nintendo would and should be putting a hard drive in a future Wii console, but the company has moved to quosh rumours of an impending hard drive for the wildly popular platform.

In an interview, Nintendo's public relations manager Eric Walter said that the company doesn't want people storing games on their consoles.

"The way that we look at it is, we really don't want people storing every single game they buy on their drive," said Walter in an interview with games mag Gamasutra. "When you buy a game, it's yours forever, so you can delete it, and go back and get it at any time you want. In a way, we liken it to putting music on your iPod; you listen to it for a while, and then you get tired of it, and you pull it off, and you put some new stuff on."

He said that that a lot of the games for WiiWare that have been submitted so far are smaller in size, so they won't take up lots of space on a hard drive. Of course, but what happens when you buy a lot of VC games?

On come on Nintendo, we all want a hard drive in the Wii, if only a wee Wii hard drive!
