In fact Sky’s PVR – cleverly entitled Sky+ ‘cause it does more than the basic TV receiver – has now made it into the homes of almost one third of the satellite broadcaster’s customers. Sales figures for the three months ended 30 September 2007 show that another 323,000 customers embraced Sky+, taking the total to 2.697 million users. Sky also said it is well on track to reach 10 million customers by 2010, with the figure currently standing at 8.665 million. Meanwhile, SkyHD has made it into a third of a million UK homes and Sky Broadband has now passed one million customers. “We’ve seen continued good demand from customers for our entire product range, with over one million product sales for the fourth consecutive quarter,” said James Murdoch, chief executive of Sky.
