ps3_small.jpgSome consider the PS3 to be the best Blu-Ray player on the planet (well they do throw in a games console into the bargain!), but it will only get better tomorrow as the latest firmware upgrade gets rolled out.

The update will allow PS3 players to play new Blu-Ray discs that come under the "Profile 1.1" standard - what this means in effect is that you will be able to watch films featuring picture-in-picture modes (handy for director commentary don't you know).

Other features that the firmware update brings to the Sony console are support for Avi, Divx and WMV video formats. And a voice changer which should allow stalkers to scare victims more effectively, sorry add fun to online games with strange remodulated voices.

The download will be known as System Update 2.10 and be available from tomorrow. Betcha can't wait!!!
