It has also debuted its new LaCie LaCinema Premier, a USB 2.0
multimedia hard drive which doubles as a home entertainment centre for
enjoying movies, photos
and music. This is done by connecting the device to a PC or Mac to
transfer digital
files, when done simply plug the device directly into a television for
instant playback. Available in capacities of 500GB and 1TB, the LaCinema Premier supports a wide range of video, audio and photo formats, while an optical output gives users surround sound. Playback can be navigated using an on-screen menu and the included remote control. The LaCinema Premier has the capacity to store entire media libraries and can handle playback of most video formats. Also capable of 1080i video upscaling, the device can adapt video images to the most current LCD and Plasma TV for optimal viewing experiences via a component cable. If looking to view pictures or listen to music, the LaCinema Premier can play them on any TV.
