Flowers and chocolates not going to cut it with your better half this year? Try a Valentine's Day-themed media player instead...
Microsoft is sprucing up its red 80GB Zunes with special engravings to make them more personal. "Responding to consumer excitement for the Zune 80GB, Microsoft is making the popular wireless digital media player available in red with Zune Originals, just in time for Valentine's Day," a Bill Gates love note, we mean a Microsoft press release, said today. "Inspired by the themes of love and sharing, an exclusive collection of 20 new laser-engraved designs will be available to consumers for a limited time." The 20 new designs can be laser-engraved on the back of the Zune. The graphics can be paired with up to three lines of inscribed text, for a personal message. Or, if you skip the image, up to five lines of text are available. The Valentine's Day series features artwork from four new artist collectives: Colorblok, Friends With You, PSYOP and Studio Play Pretend. In addition, Zune Marketplace will feature Valentine's Day playlists that can be shared with friends or loved ones Zune to Zune or via the Zune Social online music community. However, the red 80GB Valentines Zune is only available to buyers in the US.
