BenQ DSC X800Buy the BenQ DSC X800 camera and never again will you hear the phrase, "Is that some high-tech kit in your pocket or are you just pleased to see me?" That's some achievement, especially when the length of Apple's wee laptop would still look like it's giving you a boner...

But at just 10mm thick (that's 1cm, fact fans), does it start to lose some of the features you might expect?

Well, it takes snaps at 8-megapixels; has Normal, Macro and Super Macro modes; offers anti-shake; auto face detection; records Mpeg video (640x480 at 30fps); offers 29 shooting modes; takes SDHC cards (up to 4GB); and even plays back MP3s – through an earphone jack if you want to make it more personal.

We reckon that's a no on the ditching the features, then.

No price yet, but we should know soon as it's scheduled for release in the first three months of 2008.
