Sony has spruced up its Vaio range of products by stuffing them with Intel’s superfast Core 2 Duo processors. It’s also upgraded some other key product specs for 2008...
For starters, the Vaio AR60, FZ30, SZ70, CR30 and TP2-series all now boast Intel’s Core 2 Duo processors.
The Blu-ray format also takes another step towards winning the format war with the addition of Blu-ray drives to more models.
On top of that, the high-end AR60, FZ30 and SZ70-series models get upgraded to 4GB of SDRAM to give them “exceptional performance”.
Similarly, the AR61ZU full HD entertainment notebook now comes with 512MB dedicated VRAM.
And – last but certainly not least – the curvy TP2 Home Entertainment Centre has been upgraded with a Blu-ray Disc combo drive, CEC remote control, and new Black finish.
“The VAIO TP2 Home Entertainment Centre looks – and is – unique, with its radical round case that fits in with almost any decor and looks great from any angle,” Sony gushed today.
“Its ability to work equally well with a TV or PC display only adds to its versatility, and once connected it opens up a new world of entertainment.”
