Page 1 of 2 World Mobile Congress kicked off in fine style today, with quite a few mobile phone manufacturers rolling out new devices. And Toshiba got in on that action with the Portégé G810 – a “super slim touch-screen handset”, designed for business users.
“With Windows Mobile, users have access to Microsoft Office Mobile applications, and with push e-mail, business users can respond to emails immediately,” a Toshiba spokesman told us. “Support for both HSDPA and HUSPA enables users to surf the web and download and upload photos and videos from the 3-megapixel camera at broadband speeds.” The Portégé G810 also comes with a 2.83-inch colour screen to aid navigation. And that’s not just web navigation, as users can view maps of their travel route from A to B on the 65k colour screen “in seconds” using the built in GPS and A-GPS function. It’s also Toshiba’s first device with support for HSUPA.
