Computer manufacturer Medion is teaming up with Sainsbury’s to introduce two new dual-core notebooks into the supermarket's larger UK stores from mid-February. The Windows Vista Home Premium laptops come with a 14-inch screen for portability or in the 17-inch desktop replacement format for “ultimate performance”.
The MD96625 includes an Intel Core2Duo T5450 1.66GHz dual-core processor, NVIDIA GeForce 8600M GS graphics and 2GB RAM. High definition audio including a subwoofer and an HDMI port also make it ideal for watching movies. Meanwhile, the Medion MD96624 offers “generous specifications at a low price”. It features a dual-core AMD Turion 1.6GHz processor and NVIDIA GeForce Go 6100 graphics. Its compact size (330 x 240 x 36mm) and low weight (2.4kg) hide a 160GB hard drive and 2GB RAM. The 14-inch Medion MD96624 is £399.99 and the 17-inch MD96625 is £499.99, both including VAT. The Medion MD96625 is also available online now at Medion’s online store. Both machines come with a 12-month warranty.
