It’s fingers at the ready today as Medion releases its security-conscious sat-nav. Yes, thieves won’t have much joy getting rid of these devices when they realise the owner has to run their finger over it to make the GoPal P4425 work.
The first sat-nav with a fingerprint recognition security feature, the GoPal P4425 comes with “seamless”, street-level maps for the UK and all of Europe. The Navteq map data shows route information on a new display layout, offering a choice of arrow-based, 2D or 3D intelligent visual guidance with a further hybrid split screen option. Also featuring TMC dynamic rerouting, the GoPal P4425 keeps drivers informed of the latest traffic information and recalculates plotted routes to avoid hold-ups. Medion said its advanced previews of major road signs and a lane assistant feature ensure that drivers are fully prepared and accurately guided when negotiating complicated junctions. Medion’s latest GoPal 4.0 PE software also includes Medion’s touchless technology, making all menu options accessible by spoken commands for safe, hands-free navigation.
Other specs and features include: Available exclusively from Medion’s online store, the GoPal P4425 is priced at £249.99 including VAT with a12-month warranty.
