The PT-AE2000E meanwhile offers 1,500-Lumen brightness, 16,000:1 contrast ratio and “professional-level tuning features”.

The LCD home theatre projector has 1080p (1,920 x 1,080 pixel) native resolution for “savvy home theatre enthusiasts and audio video professionals who desire an immersive home entertainment viewing experience.”

Panasonic says it’s the next evolution of its award winning predecessor, the PT-AE1000E, which “has been widely accepted and used to display professional movies”.

The PT-AE2000E’s Detail Clarity Processor analyzes frequency characteristics of each frame in three dimensions (horizontal, vertical, and along the time axis) and applies necessary sharpness at varying degrees to create natural, life-like images with exceptional clarity.

"Continuing our close collaboration with leading Hollywood colourists and image experts, we’ve taken our projector technology to the next level to meet the growing demand for high-definition home entertainment content,” said Hartmut Kulessa, product manager of Home Cinema Projectors for Panasonic Europe.

Panasonic says the projector’s unique Pure Color Filter Pro uses optical adjustment to achieve a higher purity level of the three primary colours, and also helps displays deeper, purer blacks.
