According to the suits at Toshiba, the seven-in-one camera provides stunning images in 720p HD resolution.

Its pocket-sized, portable design means you can capture those high-def videos no matter where you go, but it has a HDMI output for playback on your big screen.

The Camileo Pro HD boasts a 5.0-megapixel CMOS sensor, which is able to shoot HD footage at a progressive resolution of 1280 x 720.

All video is encoded in the H.264/MPEG4 format for optimum image quality.

The device only has 128MB integrated storage, but that can be expanded by adding an SDHC card up to 32GB – letting you capture up to 16 additional hours of film.

The Camileo Pro HD also operates as a regular digital still camera, with 3x optical and 4x digital zoom and an equivalent 11-megapixel resolution using interpolation.

Graeme Simons, business unit manager at Toshiba Information Systems UK, said the Camileo Pro HD was a triumph for the company’s innovative approach to product design.

“It’s incredibly slim, it has a smart, attractive design and offers the same picture qualities as cameras over twice its size and several times its price,” Simons said, without adding ‘put your hands on your head’.

“It’s quite simply an excellent offering for consumers who want to shoot HD on the go.”

The Toshiba Camileo Pro HD is available from April 2008, with an estimated UK price of £149.99 including VAT.
