LG has finally debuted the Flatron L206WU in the UK, which allows users to connect up to six additional screens to the LCD monitor through a USB connection. The company touts it as an easier and more affordable alternative for businesses that rely on a multi-monitor workspace, but we quite fancy it for our living room...
Once connected, the primary Flatron L206WU monitor automatically configures itself to the optimal set-up, meaning there is no need for users to change tricky display settings. By default, the additional monitors act as independent screens, capable of displaying separate content from the primary screen while maintaining a picture quality equivalent to that of the master monitor. The set-up also allows a certain amount of flexibility, with the screen easily being rotated from landscape to portrait mode. “With its USB connectivity, the Flatron L206WU empowers users to take more control of their workspace, offering efficiency and flexibility for multi-taskers,” said Fiona Landsberg, head of IT marketing at LG Electronics. “The sleek design of the L206WU and its adjustable height, of 35mm to 140mm, means consumers can create a seamless workstation of monitors, which not only looks good, but really does make work-life easier.” The device includes DVI-D and D-Sub connectivity options, making it compatible with a wide range of computers and devices like DVD players and laptop computers.
