SkyHDSky has launched three new channels to bolster its already bulging high definition offering. Sky Sports 3 HD, Sky Movies Premiere HD and FX HD will join the UK’s largest selection of high def channels.

As well as those additions, wrestling fans should be particularly excited as World Wrestling Entertainment finally starts broadcasting in HD.

Content has been available for quite a while in the US but the UK is only just catching up.

Monday Night Raw on 17 March will be the first episode to show the leotard clad fighters in pin-sharp quality.

The increase in pixels has lead to each WWE star filming a new entrance and overall the increased production costs have seen $20m splurged to fit in with the new technology.

Sky is also celebrating Michael Caine’s career and will be using its HD service to great effect.

Classic Caine flicks Zulu and The Italian Job will be getting their first HD airings on the satellite service.
