Nikon – the favoured brand of photo-taking anoraks – has come out with the latest in its esteemed line of DSLR’s with the Coolpix P80. And with an 18x zoom it’s perfect for voyeurs. Did we write that or just think it?

The P80 promises outstanding image quality and performance to boot. It has a megapixel count of 10.1 and an ISO setting of up to 6,400.

Along with the 27mm 18x zoom NIKKOR lens there is also sensor shift vibration reduction, so the pressure of being caught spying by your neighbour need not affect your private movie collection.

Other handy features include a continuous sports mode for taking photos of fast-moving subjects, as well as face priority, red-eye fix and anti-reflection tech in its 2.7 inch LCD monitor.

The P80 will be available from the 25 April for £299.99.

Which, handily, is when we start our parole...
