We know from LG’s sales figures that many of you out there have an LG Viewty phone. And if you do, you could also be about to pocket £5,000 for one of your snaps.
The 5-megapixel “professional-level” camera phone is the focus of an LG and National Geographic competition, with the winner getting their work displayed in the illustrious magazine. The Viewtyful World (you see what they did there?) online photo competition aims to encourage people to explore and capture their surroundings on camera. The comp will focus on three image themes; night view, retouch, and moments. Entrants simply upload their images to the official competition website, where their work will be judged by website visitors. Each week, for eight consecutive weeks, two finalists will be selected via the online voting system. Weekly finalists will win an LG Viewty handset, which is a little odd since they obviously already own one... However, their work will also be judged by a world-renowned National Geographic photographer, who will choose the grand prize winner and award a copyright fee of £5,000. |
