Not everyone has a dedicated room to set up their home cinema system (although if Absolute Gadget was standing for government, that’d be one of our pledges). Until we seize power, it might be worth checking out Sony’s Bravia DAV-F200 – which it says is the answer to a good home cinema set-up without overloading your living room...
The 2.1-channel Bravia DAV-F200 home theatre system offers HDMI, USB connection and 1080p upscaling. According to Sony, its “beautiful, clean design” mixes with the latest technology to offer “superb virtual surround sound, without filling your room with speakers”. The unit plays a number of formats, including DVD, DVD+/-R/RW, CD, CD-R/RW, MP3, WMA, JPEG and DivX. It will also playback WMA and AAC files from a USB source.
The DAV-F200 includes: The sleek black main unit is partnered with a pair of slimline main speakers and a subwoofer. “This system may be compact, but it delivers a truly room-filling sound,” claims Sony. The Bravia DAV-F200 will be available in July from the online Sony Style shop and high-street retailers.
