Acer has launched a HD-ready projector powered by Colorboost, which it claims will provide “truer, more vibrant colours with more than a 50 per cent increase in mid-tone image brightness”. The H5350 is on sale now for an RRP of £589.

The Acer H5350 has a native 720p resolution (1280 x 720), 2000 ANSI Lumens brightness and a 2000:1 contrast ratio.

Acer claims it will project crystal clear, natural images with the finest detail on a large screen, even from a long distance.

The device is crafted in elegant glossy white and comes equipped with a single HDMI port.

The rounded contours of the bezel host a detachable control pad that works as a remote control and includes an ‘Empowering Key’ for faster access to Acer Empowering Technology tools.

Controls include:
* Acer eView Management: adjusts your projector settings to suit any lightning environment and any type of content
* Acer eTimer Management: provides an onscreen visual cue to help keep presentations on schedule
* Acer SmartFormat technology: provides multi-format support for instant projection
* Acer InstantPack technology: if the user is in a hurry to leave, the power cord can be unplugged immediately after the projector is turned off without damaging the projector.

Acer described the H5350 as “unnoticeable, thanks to a noise
level of just 28dB.

The company expects the H5350 to have a 4,000 hours lamp life.

The device comes with a two-year carry-in warranty.
