Page 1 of 2 “The better your Hi-fi, the more music you listen to!” That’s what Arcam reckons, anyhoo. And as stereo goes from strength to strength and vinyl records make a surprising comeback, apparently the FMJ A28 makes the perfect ‘Heart Transplant’ for anyone with a serious but ageing Hi-fi system.
The new FMJ A28 75wpc integrated amplifier comes to the world as a bit of a hitman.
As part of its ongoing performance upgrade programme, Arcam has retired both the £530 Diva A70 and £950 Diva A90 and replaces them with the higher-quality FMJ A28 for £750.
“Using wide-band power amplifier technology and ultra-stable thermal management from the range-topping A38 amplifier, this a great amplifier that reproduces every detail and musical nuance in a recording with breathtaking accuracy,” a crisp-sounding Arcam suit said.
The A28’s pre-amplifier section uses studio components that “ensure extreme fidelity and ultra-low noise performance”.
Six line level inputs are provided, plus a “very high quality” moving magnet phono stage.
Electro Magnetic Interference is damped using Arcam's proprietary ‘Mask of Silence’ technologies, to ensure that “even the smallest details in the recording are reproduced faithfully”.
