Sony has been very busy this week, what with rumours of the it planning its own "Wiimote", it is now about to bring out a camera that could make the humble snapper a thing of the past.
The Sony Ericsson C905 mobile phone has made its way onto UK shores and
with 8.1 megapixels you could easily think that you could throw away
your digital snapper.
This Cybershot model is a slider phone with the ability to take
8.1-megapixel pics. It comes with the almost obligatory Xenon flash and
a cartload of features, such as image stabilisation, red-eye reduction and
auto-focus
face detection as well. Software-wise, you are looking at Photofix,
which will also edit pictures directly, without downloading them to a
computer.
There is also direct uploading from the Sony phone to Blogger, Facebook, Flickr, Picasa and YouTube, (great for happy slappers!)
It also comes with a 2GB Memory Stick Micro (M2) card stuffed in the
box as well. The phone also sports a 2.4-inch scratch-resistant
LCD monitor, Geo-tagging, GPS, HSDPA and Wi-Fi support. The phone will be available in a number of colours including a Copper Gold enclosure.
The phone won't be available till the last quarter of the year,
according to those in the know and apparently it also lets you make a
phone call.
