Belkin has released a couple of ways to bundle your computer baggage, promising to carry your laptop in comfort and style “whatever the occasion”. And when those occasions could include everything from “going back to school or college” or - quite formal this one - “meeting friends for tea”, they better look good in any situation.
Belkin’s new Laptop Backpack is, as the name suggest, a backpack, while the Ceylon Messenger Bag looks like it should be carrying records. According to Belkin, the Backpack may look “sleek and slim” but its “clever modern design” means it has as much capacity as larger cases on the market and “will carry your laptop and accessories without added bulk”. The Backpack has extra padded shoulder straps and breathable mesh to give maximum support.
It has a soft plush inner lining to protect your laptop from bumps and scratches, while the power adapter and cables live in a separate pouch. Meanwhile, Belkin’s new Ceylon Messenger Bag is ideal for more “local journeys” with your laptop, thanks to its slim, lightweight nature. It has multiple compartments, providing plenty of room for your laptop and accessories, and even has a concealed holder for an umbrella or water bottle. “The Ceylon Bag is perfect for those who prefer to carry bags over their shoulder but don’t want the weight and bulkiness of more traditional laptop bags,” a Belkin statement said. “It also has built-in stability enabling it to stand upright on its own, so it won’t topple over and get in the way if you’re travelling on the bus or train, or enjoying a cappuccino in your local coffee shop.” As with the Backpack, the Ceylon Bag has a soft plush inner lining to protect your laptop from scratches, but without adding extra weight to the bag.
The bag has easy to use magnetic enclosures so there are no fiddly buckles or zips to contend with and a hidden handle is incorporated for those occasions when it is more convenient to carry the bag at knee level. It’s available for £34.99 including VAT.
