Vodafone launches musical MySpace page for festival goersComing just a day after the UK's most important music festival in Glastonbury, mobile phone operator Vodafone has launched a profile page on MySpace for people to upload their pics and vidoes from this summer's festivals.

Called Vodafone Music Reporter, the page will allow music fans to upload pics, videos and reports to the profile page by going to www.myspace.com/vodafonemusicreporter_uk (_it in Italy, _es in Spain and _de in Germany) and following instruction from there. Although it appears to be limited to just Vodafone-backed music events.

That aside, reports, videos, etc, will be judged by fellow members of the profile page and the the one judged the best will win the chance to become part of an MTV show episode online and on mobile.

"Vodafone Music Reporter reaches music fans in a way that reflects the latest trends of how music is experienced in the social networking space. It allows music fans to interact, showcase their skills and become a part of a unique Vodafone music community," said David Wheldon, Global Brand Director at Vodafone.

The platform launches in the UK, Germany and Spain with Italy to come along a few days later.
