It doesn’t take a genius to realise that US monitor maker iZ3D loves 3D. And now the company is making a big push to show everyone else the benefits of seeing that extra D.
Throughout 2008, iZ3D will be sponsoring several 3D movie premier events at theatres across the US. To kick-off the series, iZ3D is sponsoring a contest for 100 lucky San Diego 3D fans to see Journey To The Centre Of The Earth on 11 July. “To celebrate the building trend toward 3D viewing and the release of new 3D movie content, we are planning a series of fun 3D events for local graphic artists, gamers and 3D movie buffs,” said Thomas Striegler, CEO of iZ3D. “iZ3D will have personnel and 3D monitors on site to acquaint as many people as possible with the immersive home and business viewing benefits of 3D.” Striegler said that 3D displays feature significant competitive and technical advantages over 2D display systems, with graphic artists especially able to create more realistic 3D images while viewing the design in 3D instead of 2D. “The unique technology from iZ3D creates an adjustable 3D environment without causing eyestrain, spatial disorientation, or headaches,” he said. “In 3D mode, viewers can see clear, bright, sharp 3D images or videos simply by wearing any of a variety of cool passive polarized glasses.” |
