Page 1 of 4 Sony UK has launched a new Vaio range, including the FW Series consumer model and three business models to dream about blagging on your corporate expenses – the SR Series, BZ Series and Z Series.
According to Sony, the three new Vaio business laptops each have a distinct identity and appeal.
"Whether you are looking for security, style, mobility, or supreme performance, the Vaio SR-Series, BZ-Series and Z-Series are the perfect laptop partners for business users," a Sony suit told Absolute Gadget.
Meanwhile, the FW is all about the viewing opportunities: "Designed to entertain, the stylish new Sony VAIO FW-Series has been created for the next generation of HD-format entertainment, featuring a true 16:9 aspect ratio widescreen display and an integral Blu-ray Disc drive."
The FW range offers:
* A mix of Intel Core2Duo processors and ATI graphics
* The new Intel Centrino 2 platform, optimising everything from multi-tasking and processor speed to battery life
* WXGA++ 1,600 x 900 resolution screen
* Enhanced blue spectrum range, to allow extremely accurate reproduction of colour variations
* Dolby Sound Room technology to recreate small home theatre sound on the notebook's own speakers or headphones
* Blu-ray writing as well as reading, storing up to 50GB of data on a single disc
* Adobe Premiere Elements software.
The Windows Vista machines come in a number of options, some containing Blu-ray, some with the read/write function and others with improved technical specs.
