Two versions of the Eee PC 1000 are available, both coming in black or white casings. The first is the Windows XP machine, which features an 80GB traditional Hard Drive and storage component for £349. The second uses the Linux operating system, has a 40GB shock-proof SSD, and comes with a bonus 20GB of free online storage - all for £369. Both models use the Intel Atom Processor, built using the world's smallest transistors. According to Asus that chipset helps “extend battery life, allowing you to stay in touch and connected for longer.” (Continued on next page)
