Lexar's red Jumpdrive Firefly Flash USB drive holds 16gbThe crew of Serenity would have a hard job fitting inside this vessel. Lexar’s JumpDrive FireFly USB drive holds 16GB, but at 49.70mm x 20.75mm x 10.50mm you won’t get many people inside.

The JumpDrive FireFly drive is PC and Mac compatible and comes in four different stylish colours, each representing a different memory capacity.

The new hot red-coloured 16GB JumpDrive FireFly drive joins its brethren as a high-capacity portable storage solution.

The “ultra-small, ultra-portable” JumpDrive FireFly drive is outfitted with an easily accessible keychain hole, making it easy to tether onto a key ring, attach to a backpack, or hook to a purse or briefcase.

It also has a protective cap for security and a distinctive blue LED tail that blinks during data transfer, so users know when a transfer job is complete.

As a special bonus for Windows-based road warriors, the JumpDrive FireFly drive comes pre-loaded with a free 30-day trial of Dmailer V7 software, which enables you to easily backup and synchronise your files, including Microsoft Outlook and Outlook Express.

The 16GB Lexar JumpDrive FireFly drive will be available in September 2008.

It costs $99 in the US, with a UK price to be announced.
