If anything is going to dislodge the Viewty as top dog in the LG stable then it has to be the new KC910. The company is touting it as the world's first 8 megapixel multimedia phone with a full touchscreen interface.
It also said that the phone is the slimmest 8 megapixel camera at just 13.95mm thick.
Another first for the phone apparently is the inclusion of Dolby Mobile, an integrated suite of audio processing technologies which is said to bring clean, powerful bass. It also has DivX and XviD support for video playback.
As for the camera, it boasts a Xenon flash, Schneider-Kreuznach lens, ISO up to 1600 and can shot video in VGA resolution at 30fps and in QVGA at up to 120fps for slow motion effect.
The phone also comes with Wi-Fi, HSDPA, GPS, Bluetooth and a microSD slot that can take up to 8GB. (No information on the phones internal memory was forthcoming from LG).
The phone comes out a week after Samsung bought out its own 8 megapixel cameraphone, the Samsung i8510. But the LG has a full touchscreen interface ( a 3-inch WQVGA 240x400 touch display), putting it in direct competition with Apple's iPhone.
