sky_logo.jpgAccording to a recent discussion on Digital Spy forumsSky has recently dropped the "fair use policy" from its Sky Broadband Max terms and conditions, removing the 250 GB per month download limit - Sky has dubbed this as giving customers "truly unlimited broadband."

"One of the things you've told us is that you want 'unlimited' broadband to be exactly that - truly unlimited," the team wrote on Digital Spy. This means that Sky Broadband users are now able to download as much as they want. Sky said "this makes us the first major broadband provider to offer a truly unlimited package.

Sky added that having invested in "a high-capacity network that is designed to carry huge amounts of traffic without congestion", it will not use traffic shaping techniques to slow down connections during peak times on Sky Broadband Base, Mid or Max.

Sky Broadband Connect customers are not directly attached to Sky's own network and because of this Sky said they "are unable to extend this promise to them".
