Home cinema systems – “Just another bunch of boxes to be added to the rest of the crap that’s cluttering up the TV,” says She Who Must Be Obeyed with a mean look in her eye. We reckon she’d be fine with the HRT403DA home cinema system, then... LG’s latest kit announcement is a home cinema system including a Freeview+ box that allows consumers to pause, record and rewind live TV.
It comes complete with a 160GB hard dick drive for up to 463 hours of recording, as well as a super multi DVD recorder that lets you record your favourite programmes onto DVD.
Naturally, there’s an eight-day programme guide with series link capability, to plan your viewing in advance.
“With a gloss black finish and silver accents, this compact home cinema system not only looks stylish, it also offers the best in sound and technology,” a shiny LG press release said.
“Boasting 400W of pure power, it features 5.1 Virtual Sound Matrix for 5.1 virtual surround sound and HDMI with 1080P up-scaling.”
