"Samsung announces aggressive pricing for new netbook," is the headline on a statement from Samsung. Seems like those cheap little Asus models are starting to rattle the competition...
"The device should be out mid-October costing £329," we told you a couple of weeks ago.
However, Dinesh Chand, Samsung's product manager for notebooks, today revealed a new £299 suggested selling price that prices the product "aggressively against the current market".
“We have taken the decision to release the Samsung netbook NC10 at an aggressive suggested price point of £299 when it goes on sale at the end of October 2008," Chand said.
"This decision was made to reflect the current trend in the mobile computing market and our commitment to ensuring Samsung resellers are in the best position possible to supply customers with the highest-quality product possible at a competitive and attractive price."
