Xbox 360 NXE dashboard released

xbox_360.jpgThe wait is finally over and Xboxers can now get the hands on the dashboard upgrade NXE from today.

Called the New Xbox Experience, the upgrade sports several new features and a brand spanking new menu navigation system.

Gamers can download the update if they have 128MB of memory spare on their Xboxes.

Among the new features included are Nintendo Wii style avatars, video streaming and the ability to create multi-player LAN parties. Users will also be able to transfer games to the hard drive for quicker loading.

The new avatars will also be able to be used in Live Arcade games. Hardwood Hearts, Hardwood Spades and Bomberman Live  are among the titles supporting the feature, although getting avatars to work on the titles requires some effort.

As reported by Absolute Gadget, Microsoft willing be giving away Points and offering cheap hard drives to get users to update their console.
