If you own Google's G1 phone you may have noticed that the Android OS-powered smartphone needs daily charging. According to unconfirmed reports T-Mobile is going to give owners longer-lasting batteries free of charge.
The G1 phone comes with a 1000mAh battery as standard and many owners have complained that the phone only lasts a day before needing another recharge.
According to reports by Android Central an employee of the firm confirmed that replacement batteries are being sent out and an internal memo said that these batteries will be free-of-charge with no requirement to send back the old battery.
However, the source could not confirm whether the new battery would be higher capacity.
