Sample ImageMaybe you have just filled up you shiny Mac Mini with tons of photos, music and movies and you are looking into getting a second hard disc. This new enclosure from Lindy could be the thing for you. Normally setting these up can be quite fiddly, this didn't look to be the case so we challenged ourselves by seeing if we could put this thing together with a hard disc and have it up and running in less than five minutes.

Well it took just over six minutes. But to be fair to the vendor, we didn't bother looking at the user manual and so used the four screws that hold the case together to tether the hard disc to the enclosure.

Once that was fixed, we powered it up and connected it to our laptop. It immediately recognised the drive and we could start using it straight away. It can be connected via either USB 2.0 or Firewire. It can hold most IDE parallel ATA hard disc drive and had no problem with our 60GB Hitachi disk drive.

In operation the enclosure was whisper silent. Its looks will mean Mac Mini users should find this matches that computers looks extremely well. It costs £39.99 from Lindy's website.
