The Great British Summer 2007 might be more like the log flume at Alton Towers or a trip to a walk-in freezer, but the government has hit out at people using patio heaters to make their gardens a bit more bearable. According to the energy watchdog, patio heaters are responsible for tonnes of carbon dioxide being released into the atmosphere. And punters should just wear a jumper!
