monksMost of us in the UK have to cope with lousy broadband speeds that aren't quite as fast as advertised. It appears that if you want really fast broadband then you have to do a Whoopi Goldberg and get in the habit by joining an order of monks on a small island of the coast of Wales.

The O2 logo yesterdayO2 today claimed to be the first established broadband player to offer customers high speed internet access inside the home and on the move with a combined home and mobile broadband package. The deal will see free home broadband given away with mobile broadband connections.

A MacBook Air yesterdayAsus may be delighting the market for affordable, teeny laptops with the likes of the Eee PC 900 and Eee PC 1000, but Apple could be about to try and muscle in. According to industry analysts, a MacBook with a 13-inch screen could soon be on sale for around £500.
